Speak your name, wizard, and the parchment will reveal where in the world you are skulking — and where every other wizard holding this map is skulking too.

Ticked, the map tells every other wizard holding it your name and where you are, for as long as you keep it open. Untick it, or say Vanish later, and you will watch unseen. Only your latest whereabouts are ever kept, and they are forgotten a few minutes after you put the map down. A name answers to one wizard at a time; the parchment will remember yours for next time.
